Basic Machines are also notable for (mostly) requiring manual input from the player, right-clicking a set block to make the machine work. They are multi-block structures: meaning they require a specific arrangement of blocks to work properly. and many will remain useful throughout your Slimefun career. These mostly only require very basic blocks to craft, such as dispensers, fences etc. It is recommended to near-exclusively focus on Basic Machines to start off. It is recommended that you only use this until you have access to Output Chests, A Grind Stone and an Automated Panning Machine though, as you will be able to convert large amounts of cobblestone into gravel, and gravel into Sifted Ore using both machines respectively. Do NOT underestimate the time it will take to progress through Slimefun, as even the most optimal routes towards unlocking everything will require many hours of work: the laboring of weeks->months, though you will certainly be able to establish yourself in Slimefun within a short time by following this guide. You should begin after establishing a base/town to work from, you have access to good enchanted gear such as Fortune, Looting, Efficiency etc as you will need to extensively harvest resources from both mobs and the terrain in order to create more advanced Slimefun items. Sadly these are used in crafting further items, though we are currently looking at ways to circumvent this for the player to progress normally, and their main uses are for VERY late-game items such as Infinity. Blaze spawners are the only naturally occuring spawners on this server, so it is recommended that you use them for an XP farm until you can unlock and create Reinforced Spawners, which are moveable Slimefun spawners crafted from any type of broken spawner from /aspa, which include Skeleton, Zombie, Spider, and Blaze spawners.įinally, some items have been removed for balance purposes, including the Oil Drill, the GPS Miner, and the Staff of Whirlwinds. The total levels required for unlocking all of Slimefun is well above what would be reasonable without an XP farm, or extensive quartz mining initially. For example at level 26 unlocking an item worth 25 levels is a better use of XP than several items adding up to 10, 8, 4, 2 levels respectively, even though they amount to the same number of levels lost overall.
